Born in Korea now working and living in London, Park’s work fuses traditional Korean painting techniques with contemporary western influences. Originally trained in traditional oriental painting, Park went on to graduate with a BA in fine art from the University of the Arts London.

Park’s work creates a fusion between Korean influences, Buddhism and Taoism with western ideologies. The paintings have a dialect between eastern and western cultures imagining an alternate realm where the two cultures merge superficially whilst examining an underlying conflict. This conversation continues between the virtual and tangible realm.

Park’s work, whilst being a physical material creation, teeters the line to a virtual one, raising the question of worth and an artist’s physical connection to their work.
